Indian railways has been known for managing one of the world's largest railway networks. But the state-owned enterprise is now undertaking a herculean task of building the world's highest railway bridge.
The arch bridge being built over the Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, will be 1,315 metres long, with a 480-metre arch and will stand at a height of 359 metres upon completion, which is 35 metres higher than the Eiffel Tower.
